Beatitudes Community

Behind the Curtain: Setting The Stage For Success

Mark your calendars for a special series of presentations and discussions coming to you Tuesday afternoons, starting June 5th, at 2:00PM in the Agelink Great Room (AGR). Sponsored by the Health and Wellness Committee, this five-part series examines situations and solutions that arise when living and working in a Community such as Beatitudes Campus. It results from months of planning and collaboration among from , Success Matters, and Matters.

A Life Plan Community like Beatitudes Campus is its own living, breathing creation that requires care and feeding of all its parts. When people live together in Community we share both the ups and downs that come our way, and sometimes it can be helpful to share our experiences as and neighbors. There may be times when you have concerns about other residents, and are uncertain how to proceed while still respecting individual privacy and autonomy. This is forever shifting its weight from one foot to the other, between and among residents and staff, as we work together with the greater good in mind. The puzzle of how to live our best lives does not get any simpler just because we grow older; in fact, it can become more challenging as our lives evolve.

We look forward to this opportunity to connect with residents and address concerns before they turn into problems. The topics, listed below, move forward from helping friends and neighbors to figuring out just how much help is too much help; how Campus policies and resources can work for our communal safety and well-being; levels of care and their transitions; and finally concluding with a staff panel to answer your questions that may not have been addressed in earlier sessions.

Join us for all five sessions to learn ways to address concerns about neighbors, friends, and community, as well as to learn more about the role of Campus staff and available resources.

At the foundation of Beatitudes Campus is the vision of Church of the Beatitudes pastors and congregation members to create a better alternative for older adults than the nursing homes of the early 1960s. The type of community they imagined was the first of its kind in Arizona. Beatitudes Campus is proud to continue the legacy of our founders, by being a leader in the field of aging services for over 50 years.
