A Clinic is Coming, A Clinic is Coming

Thank you all for your patience while we searched for a new provider for the on-site clinic.  We are pleased to announce that Mobile Valley Physicians (MVP) will be joining us on campus in the next couple of months offering primary care services, podiatry, home health and referrals and coordination, chronic disease management, end of care planning and hospice coordination. MVP has been in the business of making house calls mainly on the east side and has been expanding further west.

We are happy to share that they plan to open the clinic around July 1, and will be staffing the clinic a couple days a week until caseload increases to be able to add more days.  They hope, in time, to be open Monday through Friday.  Additionally, since MVPs name even applies that they are mobile, they will make house calls as needed.  Initially, they plan to staff with Nurse Practitioners, a Podiatrist and physicians available.

You will begin seeing representatives from MVP on campus as early as the end of this month to begin with residents and staff.  Please join us at Town Hall on Wednesday, May 1st as MVP will be there to introduce themselves and share what their plans are.

David Ragan, Zak Coronado, President of MVP and I have met numerous times discussing the needs and the wants of our residents. Zak has been very receptive and MVP has committed to foster a “town doctor” relationship.  With that said, you will see the providers out and about on campus and possibly even joining you for an activity or two from time to time.  Zak shared that “MVP looks forward to building relationships and providing quality care to the residents of .”

We have also shared with MVP that many of you have found new providers since Dr. Mawyer and the HonorHealth Clinic left the campus and they understand and respect that decision if you choose to stay with your current provider. MVP wants to be available for those residents that do not have a provider, are looking for a new provider, or want a provider closer and more convenient to them.

We know that MVP providing services on campus will not meet everyone's needs; our goal was to bring another provider on campus that gives our residents another option for their care needs. MVP offers some versatility in what services they provide, where those services can be provided and their reputation.

Please be on the look out for more about meet and greets and events where you can get to know the from MVP.
